The New York Knicks still have an open roster spot with less than a month until training camp. On Monday, it was reported that Ben Simmons rejected an offer on a one-year, veteran minimum contract from the franchise, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

Simmons has been making headlines recently as retirement rumors continue to surround him. He’s also been linked to the Boston Celtics this offseason, after entering free agency hoping to secure a contract above the league minimum.

Through this process, Simmons has cut ties with his agent Bernie Lee.

Lee notified the league that he has formally removed himself from the union's ledger as Simmons' agent.

Ultimately, the looming question is whether Simmons will continue his NBA career or choose retirement.
